PechaKucha PVD hosts free monthly events where people “share ideas, creations, and stories using the PechaKucha format of 20 images that each last 20 seconds.”

The constraints of this format——slide quantity, duration, auto-advancing, no monitor screens——make interpreting a given night’s theme a fun challenge. Since moving to Providence in 2021, I’ve presented four times; thanks to Chris and the team for the invitations back despite my contributions largely being dad jokes.
