Situated in Wayland Square, Paper Nautilus Books maintains a stock of high quality, rare and recent, used and new, books. Exceeding 25,000 volumes, their inventory is influenced by proximity to Brown and RISD, with many books on the arts and scholarly editions, both in print and out of print. Emphasis is on art, architecture, photography, film theory, cultural studies, philosophy, history, fiction, poetry, Rhode Island, gardening, foreign-language, and cooking.

Gallery Night Providence opens the doors to art spaces across our city on third Thursdays monthly, March through November. Patrons enjoy free access to many of the city’s arts hot spots, visiting each as part of a walking, biking, or trolley tour. Attracting more than 10,000+ visitors annually and showcasing the work of more than 500 artists, Gallery Night has been committed to community, accessibility, and education for more than 25 years.

In April of 2022, Bryan Rinebolt— owner of the beloved Hudson Street Deli —purchased The Classic Cafe on Westminster. Both restaurants are well known for fair prices, healthy portions, and friendly service, and will now be operating as sister spots. Great news for people who like good food.
